News Flash Kerry Gault Completes 5km Race for Life!
It was a windy Saturday afternoon on 19 May 2007 when Kerry and 6999 other women (and strangely a few blokes) ran the 5 kilometre charity 'race' on Bristol's Clifton Downs. It was Kerry's (and mine) first time at the event and I was blown away by the turnout and enthusiasm shown by all who showed up. I found myself reading the the notes on the backs of all those that strolled past. It was brilliant and it really brings it home how many people have been touoched by cancer in some way or another. Kerry was running in memory of her mum's best friend Nessie who sadly died recently from cancer. Last year over £900,000 was raised and they were aiming for £1,000,00 this year. This is a total from all the Races for Life that take place in the region. Considering 1 in 3 don't send in their sponsorship (why not?) I reckon they'l the top the big Million this year. Anyway congratulations to all the women (oldest allegedley 78, youngest 6) and girls who ran this year.
Must warm Up!
See how this arm bends?
So excited!
And we're off! Girlie with headphones doesn't look happy tho.

That's her, behind the big pink hair!
She's cruisin' now! Go K, almost there.
Well done, she made it. A wave of victory.
